Catherine began practicing yoga at her University Recreation Center in the year 2000. At the time she was attempting to recover from a tear in the iliac ligaments. Regular visits to physio, the chiropractor and osteopath helped to alleviate some of the symptoms but there was no obvious improvement to the injured tissue. Soon after having adopted a regular yoga practice Catherine noticed a significant improvement. Now registered with the International Yoga Alliance at the 200 level, Catherine is upgrading to the 500 level this spring, specializing in Therapeutic Yoga, with the aim of helping other practitioners overcome their physical injuries or ailments through yoga. With close to a thousand hours of teaching experience with various audiences, Catherine brings a global approach to her teaching style while having the ability to engage more experienced practitioners. She finds her inspiration mainly through her students, nature, her love of adventure and music.
