Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy was developed by psychologist and yoga therapist Michael Lee in the 1970s. Through supported yoga postures and simple verbal feedback, Sari will guide you through a deep dialogue with your body to help you:
- Reconnect with your inner wisdom
- Release stored tension & physical/emotional trauma
- Uncover the roots of disease; physically, emotional and spiritually
- Rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit.
The session begins with an assessment of the patient’s conditions and aims. Once Sari and the patient reach a level of understanding, the session will move into simple warm-up movements – preparing the body for deeper yoga postures with a special focus on Yogic breathing exercises (pranayama) and progressing towards the holding of one or two supported yoga postures combined with simple dialogue. The session concludes with a dialogue process to foster body/mind/spirit integration.
